Over the years, MLC has established a network of schools across Ireland with whom we have excellent relationships and we continue to develop this network as demand for the Academic Programmes grow. Not only do we guarantee to place students in a host family with a child of the same gender and age but also that they will attend the same school. Furthermore, we will only place one international student in a host family for the Full Academic Year or First Term placements. As far as we can see, we are unrivalled in providing this calibre of placement in Ireland.

ACADEMIC YEAR / ACADEMIC TERM

This is one of our most popular and ever expanding programmes. We match students to a suitable school and the necessary year group. Our programme includes:

• Meet & Greet on arrival and departure
• One return transfer from and to Dublin airport
• Full board host family accommodation (packed lunch for school)
  • With host child of same gender, age, and school
  • Includes one week midterm in October and one week midterm in February
  • Does not include Easter holidays and Christmas holidays
• No other international student in the host family
• School enrolment
• School uniform
• School books (bought or book rental)
• School transport if required
• Designated MLC coordinator to contact for any assistance
• MLC coordinator who carries out regular progress meetings throughout the year
• 24 hour assistance in emergencies

Items not included:

• Flights
• Host family accommodation during Easter holidays and Christmas holidays (available upon request)
• Own travel & medical insurance
• Extracurricular activities / clubs and associations (available upon request)

SHORT TERM SCHOOL INTEGRATION

Similar to the academic year and term programme, but for shorter periods of time. Stays are for durations of four weeks to fifteen weeks. This programme provides students with a valuable opportunity to immerse themselves in the English language and Irish culture and to experience a different education system without committing to a full year programme. We match students to a suitable school and the necessary year group. Our programme includes:

• Meet & Greet on arrival and departure
• One return transfer from and to Dublin airport
• Full board host family accommodation (packed lunch for school)
  • With host child of same gender, age, and school
• School Enrolment
• School Uniform
• Basic School books
• Designated MLC coordinator to contact for any assistance
• MLC coordinator who carries out regular progress meetings throughout the year
• 24 hour assistance in emergencies

Items not included:

• School bus ticket if required. We will organise this and advise of cost in advance
